Reju and juicing: how the eating plans compare
Reju includes meals such as porridge, soup, vegetables and fruit, while the juicing plan replaces meals with juice. Compare the foods and quantities in each plan with your nutritional needs. A dietitian can help you assess the plan and adapt it.

What is the main difference?
| Question | Reju-style meals | Juice-only plan |
|---|---|---|
| What is eaten? | Meals based on basic foods, including porridge, vegetables and soup. | Juice in place of ordinary meals. |
| What needs checking? | Enough energy, protein, fats and variety. | Major restriction of food variety and important nutrient sources. |
| Is a fixed duration a safety guarantee? | No. | No. |
Both plans need to provide enough nutrition from food. Vplus cannot make an inadequate menu complete, and the serving should remain within your current pack directions and professional advice.
Make simple meals complete
Porridge and soup can be part of a balanced pattern. Include enough food and add protein sources such as tofu, beans, eggs or fish as appropriate. Keep variety across meals, including vegetables and suitable sources of fat.
A practical plan can include hawker meals and home cooking without imposing a twenty-one-day course. Choose changes you can maintain and adapt them to any prescribed diet.
Why a juice-only plan needs more caution
Replacing meals with juice can lead to inadequate nutrition. A quiet calendar, a clear goal or prior experience with Reju does not make a seven-to-twenty-one-day juice plan safe.
Discuss any restrictive plan with a qualified healthcare professional, in particular if you take medicines, have a medical condition or have a history of disordered eating. Children and pregnant or breastfeeding people should not follow self-directed juice-only programmes.
Where supplements fit
Indigo’s published directions say twenty tablets once or twice daily and recommend taking them in the morning before food. Follow the directions on your current pack.
Check the directions on each current product pack, including Vplus, Indigold and Fibre Plus if you use them. Ask a dietitian about the food plan and a pharmacist about supplement suitability.
If the aim is better everyday eating, adequate regular meals are a practical starting point. You do not need to complete one restrictive programme before considering another.
