Why twenty small tablets instead of one large pill?

Tablet size, serving amounts and pack options explained.

Twenty tablets may sound like a lot when you first open a Vplus sachet. Each tablet weighs 200 mg, so the twenty tablets together weigh four grams. We explain what that means, how to follow the serving directions, and which pack might suit you.

01 · Tablet size

Why does Vplus come in small tablets?

Vplus comes as small tablets rather than one large pill holding the whole serving. Each tablet weighs 200 mg. To contain the same four grams as a sachet, a single tablet would need to hold twenty times that amount.

The number of tablets can make the serving look larger than it is. If you compare Vplus with another supplement, look at the ingredients and the amount in a full serving rather than the tablet count alone.

02 · Inside a sachet

How much does one sachet contain?

Each sealed sachet contains twenty tablets. A box contains thirty-one sachets, or 620 tablets in total.

One tablet

200 mg

The weight of one small Vplus tablet.

One sachet

4 grams

Twenty tablets, already counted and packed.

One box

31 sachets

A 31-day supply when using one sachet a day.

Vplus contains Chlorella sorokiniana, spirulina and Indigold. Four grams is the total weight of the tablets; it does not mean four grams of each ingredient.

03 · Taking Vplus

Do I need to take all twenty tablets together?

You do not need to swallow twenty tablets in one mouthful. Take them one at a time with water, without rushing.

The serving amount is a separate question. Indigo’s published directions say twenty tablets once or twice daily, with morning use before food recommended. Follow the directions on your current pack. Swallowing the tablets one at a time does not mean reducing the serving or spreading it across the day.

If you want to take a smaller amount or change the timing, ask a pharmacist for advice and check the product directions with our team. If you have difficulty swallowing tablets, food or drinks, speak to a healthcare professional before taking them.

04 · Choosing a supplement format

Why tablets instead of powder or capsules?

Each format has practical differences. The right choice depends on what you find comfortable and convenient.

Tablets

No measuring or mixing

Vplus sachets contain a counted amount, ready to take with water. You do not need a scoop or a drink to mix it into.

Powder

A different way to take it

A powder may suit someone who prefers mixing a supplement into food or a drink. Check that product’s directions for the amount and how to prepare it.

Capsules

Check the whole product

Capsule size, shell material and contents vary. Compare the ingredients and serving amount, as well as whether you are comfortable swallowing them.

Vplus comes as tablets. Another algae powder or capsule may have a different formula, so do not treat it as an identical substitute based on its format alone.

05 · Choosing your pack

Should I choose the box or Family tub?

Both contain the same Vplus tablets. The difference is how they are packed and how many you buy.

Vplus Formula box

31 sealed sachets

Each sachet contains twenty tablets, so there is no daily counting. You can open one while the others stay sealed, and carry a sachet in your bag when you go out.

Vplus Family tub

2,560 loose tablets

The tub suits you if you prefer a larger supply at home. Count out the amount you need and close the lid after use. It can suit one regular user or a household.

If you are trying Vplus for the first time, the box is the smaller purchase. If Vplus is already part of your routine, compare the Family tub. Follow the storage instructions on either pack, and avoid leaving supplements in a hot car.

Product information: Tablet weights, pack counts and serving directions come from Indigo’s Vplus Formula product page. Check your current pack. For general advice, see the NHS guide to swallowing tablets.
